Keka alternatives
A straight comparison with SignHR — what each costs, what moves if you switch, and where Keka is genuinely the better answer.
Why people look for Keka alternatives
- The quote came back higher than expected. Keka does not publish prices, so the first real number arrives after a sales conversation — and it is usually pitched at mid-market.
- Only a fraction of the suite gets used. Teams under a hundred people often buy performance, hiring and payroll modules and run three of them.
- Implementation took longer than the team had patience for.
Head to head
SignHR vs Keka
Pick SignHR if
Teams under a few hundred people who found Keka broader and dearer than they needed, want a published per-employee price, and care most about attendance, shifts and leave feeding payroll cleanly.
Pick Keka if
Mid-market companies that want depth in performance management and hiring under one roof, have budget for a full implementation, and value a large support and partner organisation. Keka is the more complete suite and its payroll has been tested across a far larger customer base.
| Capability | SignHR | Keka |
|---|---|---|
| Core HR | Yes | Yes |
| Time & Attendance | Yes | Yes |
| Leave Management | Yes | Yes |
| Onboarding | Yes | Yes |
| Payroll | Payroll-ready (compute inputs) | Full payroll engine |
| Agentic HR (AI Assistant) | Yes | No |
On price: There is no like-for-like number to compare here, because Keka publishes none. Ask for the per-employee rate, the minimum headcount, whether implementation is billed separately, and what the price does at renewal — then compare that against a rate you can read on a page.

- Indian statutory payroll
- PF, ESI, professional tax and gratuity are the reason most Indian teams buy an HRMS at all. A tool that treats them as an afterthought will not survive an audit.
- Published pricing
- If you cannot see the price, you cannot compare it. Vendors that publish let you rule them in or out in a minute.
- Time to running
- Keka is often left because it took a quarter to roll out. Anything replacing it should be quicker or the swap is pointless.

Where SignHR is the wrong choice
- Younger product than the incumbents, with a smaller partner and consultant ecosystem.
- Global payroll is not run in-house — multi-country HR is supported, but statutory payroll computation is India-first.
- Some integrations named on our roadmap are not shipped yet; the integrations page marks which.
Frequently asked questions
Keka does not publish prices. Its pricing page lists plan tiers and the features in each, but shows no figures — you request a quote. Figures circulating on comparison blogs are second-hand and we will not repeat them here.
On published list price, Zoho People at ₹48 per user per month billed annually is the lowest entry point, and greytHR Essential at ₹2,495 a month covers up to 50 employees. Zoho's figure excludes Indian payroll, which is a separate product, so compare the total rather than the headline.
greytHR and SignHR both treat Indian statutory payroll as core rather than as a module. greytHR has the longer compliance track record; SignHR connects payroll inputs to attendance and leave in one record.
Probably some. Keka's performance-management and hiring modules are broader than most SMB alternatives. The question worth asking is whether you were using them — teams under a hundred people frequently are not.
