Deel alternatives
What to use instead of Deel when the team you are actually paying is in one country — and per-worker fees have stopped making sense.
Why people look for Deel alternatives
- The team consolidated into India. Deel earns its fee when you have no local entity; once most people are on one domestic payroll, per-worker pricing is expensive for what it does.
- It is not a domestic HRMS. Attendance, shifts, leave policy and regularisation for an in-office Indian team are not what Deel is built to run.
- Contractors converted to employees, and the tool that suited contractors no longer suits the payroll.
Head to head
SignHR vs Deel
Pick SignHR if
Companies running a domestic team in India who employ the people they manage and need attendance, shifts and statutory payroll inputs on one record.
Pick Deel if
Companies hiring people in countries where they have no legal entity. Deel employs and pays those people for you — SignHR cannot do that at all. If your team spans borders without entities, Deel is the answer, not an alternative.
| Capability | SignHR | Deel |
|---|---|---|
| Published pricing | Per employee, in INR | $49/contractor, $599/EOR employee, per month |
| Employer of record | No | Yes |
| Cross-border contractor payments | No | Yes |
| Indian statutory payroll | Core | Via EOR, not a domestic HRMS |
| Core HR | Yes | Yes |
| Time & Attendance | Yes | Limited |
On price: Every Deel figure is a per-worker fee, and that is the whole model — for a large domestic headcount they add up fast. And Deel is not a domestic HRMS: it is an employment and global payroll platform, so the comparison only makes sense for cross-border hiring.

- Domestic versus cross-border
- The deciding question. Deel is excellent at what a domestic HRMS cannot do, and poor at what it does daily.
- Cost per head at your size
- Per-worker fees are fine for a handful of people abroad and punishing across a large domestic headcount.
- Indian statutory payroll
- If your people are on an Indian payroll, PF, ESI, professional tax and gratuity have to be handled properly.

Where SignHR is the wrong choice
- Younger product than the incumbents, with a smaller partner and consultant ecosystem.
- Global payroll is not run in-house — multi-country HR is supported, but statutory payroll computation is India-first.
- Some integrations named on our roadmap are not shipped yet; the integrations page marks which.
Frequently asked questions
Deel publishes per-worker prices: $49 per contractor per month, $325 per contractor of record, $125 per US PEO employee, $599 per EOR employee, and $14 per worker for its hiring product. Checked against Deel's own pricing page on 6 August 2026.
Only for the domestic part. If you employ people in countries where you have no entity, an Indian HRMS cannot be the employer of record — that is precisely the service Deel sells. Many teams keep Deel for a handful of overseas people and move the Indian payroll to a domestic platform.
Everything about the compliance surface. An Indian employee brings PF, ESI, professional tax, gratuity accrual, leave entitlement and payslip obligations that a contractor payment does not. That is usually the point at which a domestic HRMS earns its place.
Often, yes — a domestic platform for the Indian team and Deel for the few people abroad frequently costs less than putting everyone through per-worker fees. Cost it at your actual headcount split rather than assuming one tool must win.
