Comparison

SignHR vs Deel

These are not substitutes. Deel solves cross-border employment; SignHR solves the daily operation of a domestic team.

All comparisons

Why teams choose SignHR

  • Attendance, shifts and biometric punches for a team that clocks in somewhere
  • Indian statutory work as core — PF, ESI, professional tax and gratuity
  • Per-employee pricing that does not scale as a per-worker employment fee
  • Built-in Agentic HR assistant

Where Deel is strong

  • Employer of record in countries where you have no legal entity — nothing here competes with that
  • Best-in-class contractor payments and cross-border compliance
  • Published per-worker pricing across each product

What each one costs

SignHR

Core HR
Published per employee, per month
No headcount minimum, no setup fee, no lock-in. Modules are added on top.
Agentic HR
Flat monthly add-on
Priced per company rather than per seat, so it does not scale with hiring.

Deel

Contractors
$49 per contractor per month
USD. Per worker, per month.
Contractor of record
$325 per contractor of record
USD. Per worker, per month.
US PEO
$125 per US PEO employee
USD. Per employee, per month.
EOR
$599 per EOR employee
USD. Per employee, per month.
Hiring
$14 per worker for the hiring product
USD. Per worker.

Read the fine print: Every Deel figure is a per-worker fee, and that is the whole model — for a large domestic headcount they add up fast. And Deel is not a domestic HRMS: it is an employment and global payroll platform, so the comparison only makes sense for cross-border hiring.

What moves if you switch

Employee and contractor records
SignHR has no bulk employee import today — people are added one at a time, so budget for that rather than assuming a CSV load. Export your directory from Deel first so you have the data to work from, and talk to us before you plan the cutover.
Leave balances
Export current balances and post them as opening adjustments against each employee's ledger. Accrual history itself does not transfer.
Attendance history
This one does transfer. SignHR has an attendance import with a downloadable template, so historic punches can be loaded for reporting continuity — most teams bring in the current financial year and archive the rest.
Documents
Bulk-download from Deel and re-upload per employee. There is no direct connector between the two products.
Payroll history
Does not transfer. Keep your Deel payslip archive — SignHR computes payroll inputs going forward rather than restating past runs.

Who should pick which

Pick SignHR if

Companies running a domestic team in India who employ the people they manage and need attendance, shifts and statutory payroll inputs on one record.

Pick Deel if

Companies hiring people in countries where they have no legal entity. Deel employs and pays those people for you — SignHR cannot do that at all. If your team spans borders without entities, Deel is the answer, not an alternative.

Questions

Deel's figures are per-worker fees — $49 a contractor, $599 an EOR employee — and they are the whole model, so for a large domestic headcount they add up fast. SignHR publishes a per-employee rate in rupees for the daily operation of a team you employ directly. The honest answer is that these are different purchases, not competing ones.

Partly, and the honest answer matters here. Leave balances and attendance history do transfer — balances as opening ledger adjustments, punches through SignHR's attendance import and its template. Employee records do not: SignHR has no bulk employee import today, so people are added one at a time. Documents are a bulk download from Deel and a re-upload per employee, and payroll history stays where it is. Talk to us before you plan the cutover.

Deel employs and pays people in countries where you have no legal entity — as employer of record and for contractors. SignHR cannot do that at all. If you are hiring across borders without entities, Deel is the answer, not an alternative.

SignHR treats Indian statutory work — PF, ESI, professional tax and TDS — as core, computes payroll inputs and hands off to your payroll engine for disbursement. Deel's payroll runs through its EOR and global payroll platform rather than as a domestic HRMS. If your headcount is in India, that is the difference.

Our take

Should you switch to SignHR?

Pick by what you are actually doing. If you are hiring a developer in Poland and a designer in Brazil without opening entities, that is Deel's job and SignHR cannot do it. If you employ two hundred people in India who punch in at sites and need statutory payroll inputs, Deel's per-worker fees are the wrong shape and its attendance and shift handling is not the point of the product. Companies doing both frequently run both, and that is a reasonable answer rather than a failure to choose.

Our QC checks are logged every single shift. My last audit was a five-minute export instead of a week digging through registers.
