SignHR vs RazorpayX Payroll
These solve different halves of the same month-end. Which you need depends on whether your pain is paying people or working out what to pay them.
Why teams choose SignHR
- Attendance, shifts and leave feed the payroll figure directly — no month-end reconciliation between two systems
- No employee bracket: twenty people cost twenty people, not a tier
- Assets, onboarding, approvals and the full employee record, which a payout tool does not attempt
- Built-in Agentic HR assistant
Where RazorpayX Payroll is strong
- Actually disburses — salaries, TDS, PF and ESI paid out from where they are computed
- Backed by an established Indian payments business, which matters for money movement
- Compliance filing is the core product rather than an output

What each one costs
SignHR
- Core HR
- Published per employee, per month
- No headcount minimum, no setup fee, no lock-in. Modules are added on top.
- Agentic HR
- Flat monthly add-on
- Priced per company rather than per seat, so it does not scale with hiring.
RazorpayX Payroll
- Prime
- ₹2,499/month
- Up to 20 employees; ₹150 per additional employee beyond that.
- Elite
- ₹5,499/month billed annually (₹8,499 semi-annual)
- Up to 100 employees; ₹150 per additional employee beyond that.
- Enterprise
- Quoted
- Above 100 employees — no published figure.
Read the fine print: Every published figure carries 18% GST on top, and RazorpayX Payroll is payroll software rather than an HRMS.
What moves if you switch
- Employee records
- SignHR has no bulk employee import today — people are added one at a time, so budget for that rather than assuming a CSV load. Export your directory from RazorpayX Payroll first so you have the data to work from, and talk to us before you plan the cutover.
- Salary structure
- Current salary and component structures can be read out and re-entered as the payroll input baseline in SignHR.
- Attendance & leave
- RazorpayX tracks these only at a basic level, so there is little to transfer — set them up fresh in SignHR. That is the half of the problem SignHR actually solves.
- Payslips
- Stays with RazorpayX. SignHR does not restate past runs — it computes payroll inputs going forward and hands off for disbursement.
Who should pick which
Pick SignHR if
Teams whose month-end pain is the data — attendance, shifts and leave feeding the payroll figure — and who need a full employee record on top of computing payroll inputs.
Pick RazorpayX Payroll if
If the problem is paying people, RazorpayX actually disburses — salaries, TDS, PF and ESI paid out from where they are computed — and SignHR does not. SignHR computes payroll inputs and hands off. If disbursement is the problem, RazorpayX solves it and SignHR does not.
Questions
The headline figures are not like-for-like, because RazorpayX is a payout engine and SignHR is an HRMS — and every published RazorpayX figure carries 18% GST on top. Add the GST and the bracket arithmetic (Prime ₹2,499 for up to 20, Elite ₹5,499 for up to 100) before you compare, and remember you are buying different halves of month-end.
Partly, and the honest answer matters here. Leave balances and attendance history do transfer — balances as opening ledger adjustments, punches through SignHR's attendance import and its template. Employee records do not: SignHR has no bulk employee import today, so people are added one at a time. Documents are a bulk download from RazorpayX Payroll and a re-upload per employee, and payroll history stays where it is. Talk to us before you plan the cutover.
No — and the reverse too. RazorpayX disburses salaries and files compliance; SignHR runs the HR around it and computes the payroll inputs. If paying people is the problem, RazorpayX solves it and SignHR does not. Plenty of teams run both, and that is a legitimate answer.
Our take
Should you switch to SignHR?
Not really rivals. If your problem is that paying people is manual, RazorpayX solves that and SignHR does not — SignHR computes payroll inputs and hands off. If your problem is that you cannot trust the numbers going into payroll because attendance and leave live in spreadsheets, that is the half SignHR solves. Plenty of teams end up running both, and that is a legitimate answer.
