SignHR vs Rippling

Rippling is a broader platform. Whether that breadth is worth a quote-only price depends on whether IT provisioning is a problem you actually have.

All comparisons

Why teams choose SignHR

  • Indian statutory work — PF, ESI, professional tax and gratuity — treated as core, not as a country module
  • Published per-employee pricing in rupees, with no quote required to shortlist
  • Biometric device ingestion and shift rostering for factory and field teams
  • Built-in Agentic HR assistant

Where Rippling is strong

  • Best-in-class IT provisioning — laptops, apps and access tied to hiring and offboarding
  • Genuine multi-country, multi-entity reach that a domestic HRMS does not attempt
  • Very broad automation across HR, IT and spend in one system

What each one costs

SignHR

Core HR
Published per employee, per month
No headcount minimum, no setup fee, no lock-in. Modules are added on top.
Agentic HR
Flat monthly add-on
Priced per company rather than per seat, so it does not scale with hiring.

Rippling

All plans
Not published
The pricing page collects your requirements and returns a custom quote — no figures.

Read the fine print: Rippling's pricing page collects your requirements and returns a custom quote. When you take it, demand the per-employee rate, the minimum headcount, whether implementation is billed separately, and what the price does at renewal — a quote missing those four cannot be compared against a published rate.

What moves if you switch

Employee records
SignHR has no bulk employee import today — people are added one at a time, so budget for that rather than assuming a CSV load. Export your directory from Rippling first so you have the data to work from, and talk to us before you plan the cutover.
Leave balances
Export current balances and post them as opening adjustments against each employee's ledger. Accrual history itself does not transfer.
Attendance history
This one does transfer. SignHR has an attendance import with a downloadable template, so historic punches can be loaded for reporting continuity — most teams bring in the current financial year and archive the rest.
Documents
Bulk-download from Rippling and re-upload per employee. There is no direct connector between the two products.
IT provisioning rules
Rippling's device, app and access rules do not transfer — you rebuild those from scratch, and SignHR does not automate IT provisioning at all.
Payroll history
Does not transfer. Keep your Rippling payslip archive — SignHR computes payroll inputs going forward rather than restating past runs.

Who should pick which

Pick SignHR if

Indian teams whose complexity is statutory work, attendance and shift rostering, who want a published per-employee price in rupees rather than a quote round.

Pick Rippling if

Any company where onboarding a person means shipping a laptop, provisioning a stack of SaaS accounts and granting access — Rippling ties devices, apps and access provisioning to the employee record, and it is genuinely best-in-class at it. That is something SignHR does not attempt, and if you are fighting device and app sprawl, Rippling is the stronger buy.

Questions

We cannot tell you, because Rippling publishes no prices — its pricing page collects your requirements and returns a custom quote. SignHR publishes a per-employee rate. The comparison worth running is your quoted Rippling price against our published one, including the per-employee rate, minimum headcount, whether implementation is billed separately, and the renewal price.

Partly, and the honest answer matters here. Leave balances and attendance history do transfer — balances as opening ledger adjustments, punches through SignHR's attendance import and its template. Employee records do not: SignHR has no bulk employee import today, so people are added one at a time. Documents are a bulk download from Rippling and a re-upload per employee, and payroll history stays where it is. Talk to us before you plan the cutover.

Rippling ties devices, apps and access provisioning to the employee record — genuinely best-in-class, and something SignHR does not attempt. If onboarding and offboarding people across IT is a real problem for you, that alone justifies Rippling.

SignHR treats Indian statutory work — PF, ESI, professional tax and gratuity — as core, computes payroll inputs and hands off to your payroll engine for disbursement. Indian statutory payroll is not Rippling's home ground. For an Indian team with shift workers, that difference matters.

Our take

Should you switch to SignHR?

Different problems. Rippling earns its cost when onboarding a person also means shipping a laptop and provisioning eight SaaS accounts across two countries — nothing in the Indian market does that as well. It is a harder sell for a single-country team with shift workers and statutory filing, where the IT half goes unused and the price is quote-only. If your headcount is in India and your complexity is attendance rather than infrastructure, the comparison is not close.
